Martin Smeekes has been CEO of EMS North Holland North in Alkmaar since 2008 until he retired in 2021. He joined the EMS Leadership Network EU in 2019 and was chosen to continue representing Ambulancezorg Nederland in EMS EU. His special attention goes to collaboration of EMS with Stroke neurologists ( ESOC), Intervention cardiologists (PCR) and traumatologists( EMT WHO).

Dr Moore is an Emergency Physician by background and has worked with both the London and South East Coast Ambulance Services, as Medical Director, and more briefly as Chief Executive, between 1997 and 2023. She worked with NHS London to introduce London’s major Trauma System between 2009 and 2013. She now works with Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex as Senior Medical Adviser, for Ambulnz Community Partners as Group Medical Director.

Position: Senior Medical Adviser, Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex

Cathal has been Clinical Director of the National Ambulance Service Ireland since 2011. He trained in Emergency Medicine in Ireland and Canada, completing a Clinical Fellowship in Emergency Medicine and EMS at the University of Toronto in 2004. He has also completed a Masters Degree in Leadership. He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor in Emergency Medicine at the Graduate Entry Medical School at the University of Limerick.

Stephen J.M. Sollid has a clinical background as an anaesthesiologist and HEMS doctor, and has been the head of two large prehospital services in Norway. He has a PhD in patient safety and risk management and is a professor of prehospital critical care at the University of Stavanger. Currently he is the secretary-general of the Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation, facilitating research, development and education in prehospital critical care in Norway and running HEMS operations in Norway and Denmark.

Patrik Söderberg is a specialist in emergency medicine and general practice who has been involved in the development of the emergency medicine specialty in Sweden since the early 2000s. He has served as program director and education director for the specialist training program in emergency medicine at Södersjukhuset in Stockholm, and was instrumental in developing the examination for emergency medicine specialists in Sweden. For the past 10 years, he has worked centrally on development in the Stockholm Region as Chief Medical Officer for prehospital emergency care.

Dr. Freddy Lippert, the International Chief Medical Officer at Falck, a global healthcare company, and founding member and director of the European Association of EMS. As former CEO of EMS in Copenhagen for a decade, he played a pivotal role in the emergency healthcare system reform. As a founding member of EMS Europe and the Global Resuscitation Alliance, Dr. Lippert champions the use of innovation, technology and implementation to enhance healthcare outcomes. Additionally, he serves as international advisor to the Chinese Resuscitation Alliance and is an associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen and has published over 200 scientific articles.
